Job description

We are seeking a Nursery Assistant Manager. Please only apply if you have a minimum level 3 childcare qualification alongside experience as a room leader or deputy.

You will join a warm, welcoming and relaxed closely‑knit team in a small informal, independent nursery in leafy, north Oxford with onsite parking and excellent bus connections. The nursery takes up to 30 children from 9 months to 5 years.

Ideal Candidate
  • Have at least a Level 3 qualification, preferably experience of managing a team or a small setting.
  • Attentive to detail in ensuring rigorous compliance with the EYFS.
  • Possess good communication skills and empathy.
  • Work efficiently and effectively within a strong, experienced team.
  • Have an engaging and positive manner for interacting with parents.
  • Contribute new ideas and approaches for improving the nursery.

Previous recent experience of the UK Early Years sector is essential for the role. All candidates must have a clean up‑to‑date DBS record.
