Job summary

A local education provider in Shrewsbury is seeking a Nursery Assistant to support the teacher in managing nursery resources and supervising children. This is a temporary position from January 2026 until the end of the summer term 2026. An ideal candidate will have knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and a passion for enhancing children’s learning experiences. Competitive pay at £13.26 to £13.47 per hour based on experience.

Nursery Assistant

Scale 3 £13.26 to £13.47 per hour depending on experience.

8.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. each day (20 minutes unpaid break)

Hours per week: 28 hours and 20 minutes.

This is a temporary term time only position, as from January 2026 until the end of the summer term 2026.

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding practitioner to join our friendly and supportive team. The applicant will need to have knowledge of the EYFS curriculum, and the role will involve assisting the teacher in the management/preparation of resources/enhancing areas of the nursery. Applicant will also lead/supervise areas of the room under the guidance of the Nursery teacher.
