Job summary

Premier Education Ltd is seeking reliable Nursery Assistants to work across Macclesfield nurseries from September 2026. Flexible placements include daily supply, short-term and long-term opportunities in Macclesfield and surrounding areas.

You will support learning, ensure a nurturing environment, and assist with daily routines while adhering to safeguarding and EYFS principles. DBS checks are required or pursued as part of our safeguarding commitment.

Qualifications

• Recent experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
• A relevant childcare or early years qualification is desirable.
• A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• A caring, patient and proactive approach.
• The ability to engage and motivate young children.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A current enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning and development through engaging, age-appropriate activities
• Help provide a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment
• Assist with daily nursery routines, including mealtimes and personal care
• Observe children's progress and share relevant information with senior staff
• Support positive behaviour and children's emotional wellbeing
• Prepare activities, learning materials and play areas
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
• Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies
