Nursery Assistant – Sandwell
Location: Sandwell, West Midlands
Pay Rate: £12.50 – £13.80 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)

Are you a passionate and caring Nursery Assistant looking for your next opportunity in Sandwell? We’re currently recruiting enthusiastic Nursery assistants to join welcoming and supportive nursery settings across the area.

About the Role

As a Nursery Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting children’s learning and development in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. You’ll work closely with experienced staff to deliver engaging activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and confidence in every child.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the daily running of the nursery and the delivery of the EYFS curriculum.
  • Assist in creating a fun, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Support with feeding, changing, and ensuring children’s wellbeing at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (Desired)
  • Minimum 6 months UK nursery or early years’ experience.
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (essential)
  • Good knowledge of EYFS and child development.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s growth and learning.
  • A positive, reliable, and proactive attitude.
