Job summary

Nurseplus UK Ltd is seeking a Nursery Assistant to provide day-to-day care in a nursery setting across the local area. You will support children's development, ensure safety, and help them learn through play, while covering short- and longer-term placements.

We offer flexible shifts, weekly pay, access to the Workwise app, and funded training including NVQ levels 2 and 3. A DBS check is required, and you’ll join a supportive team dedicated to making a difference in children's lives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old and right to work in the UK.
• Experience in nursery or childcare setting.
• NVQ Diploma Level 2 or 3 desirable.
• Good standard of English and clear communication.
• Clear enhanced DBS applicable upon registration.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily schedule and assist with feeding, toilet breaks, and rest time.
• Ensure a clean, safe environment for all children.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your day-to-day responsibilities as a Nursery Assistant may include managing the daily schedule, assisting with routine tasks such as feeding, toilet breaks, rest time, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for all children. You’ll collaborate with other team members to plan and implement education activities helping children learn, whilst also adhering to health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments and assisting with record keeping.

What We’re Looking For

• You must be over 18 years old and have the right to work in the UK.
• Previous experience working within a nursery or childcare setting.
• NVQ Diploma Level 2 or 3 is desirable.
• A good standard of English and the ability to communicate effectively.
• A clear enhanced DBS, which you can apply for upon registration.
