Job summary

St Joseph’s College in Ipswich invites applications for a Nursery Assistant to join Little Jo’s Day Nursery on a full-time permanent basis from January 2027.

You will work with babies from nine months to five years, support EYFS learning, provide high-quality care, and contribute to outdoor learning on the 60-acre campus. DBS check and safeguarding procedures apply.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development.
• Passionate about supporting learning, play and development.
• Able to work effectively within a team and under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Support learning activities and play-based curriculum across ages nine months to five years.
• Monitor children’s wellbeing, safety and behaviour in line with safeguarding policies.
• Assist with daily routines, observations and record-keeping to promote continuous development.

As we continue to develop Little Jo’s Day Nursery, we are delighted to announce that we will be welcoming babies from the age of nine months. We are therefore seeking enthusiastic, caring and inspirational Nursery Assistants to join our dedicated team from January 2027.

Little Jo’s Day Nursery provides a warm, nurturing environment for children aged nine months to five years. Our play-based curriculum encourages creativity, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning, while our extensive grounds offer exciting opportunities for outdoor learning, exploration and discovery.

Little Jo’s Day Nursery share our beautiful 60-acre campus, creating a strong sense of belonging across the whole College community.

You will have an excellent understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the learning and development needs of young children. You will be passionate about supporting children to learn, grow and thrive, and committed to providing high-quality care and experiences that support their intellectual, physical, social and emotional development.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and inspirational team and to contribute to the continued development of Little Jo’s Day Nursery as part of the wider St Joseph’s College community.
