Job summary

Family First's CherryGrove Nursery in High Wycombe is hiring a Nursery Assistant to join the Baby Room. The part-time role covers 15 hours per week and runs year-round, not term-time only. You will help safeguard children and support development in a caring environment.

The role requires working closely with staff, children and families, following EYFS guidelines and maintaining accurate records in EyLog. A DBS check will be completed as part of safeguarding duties.

Qualifications

• Ability to observe and support children's development and complete learning journals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times.
• Understand the EYFS framework and staff:child ratios.
• Provide engaging experiences and resources appropriate to age and development.
• Maintain strong key person relationships to support secure attachments.
• Observe and update EyLog and learning journals with accuracy.
• Support all-around daily needs of children including physical, intellectual, social and emotional development.

We are currently seeking a Nursery Assistant to join ourteam in our Baby Room. This part-time role requires working 15 hours per week.Please note, this is a year-round position, as the nursery operates throughoutthe year and is not term-time only.

As Nursery Assistant, you will:

• Ensurethe safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at alltimes
  
• Understandthe requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS and staff:childratios
  
• Provideengaging and purposeful experiences, environments and resources tochildren, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
  
• Facilitatea strong key person approach to enable children to form secure attachmentsand cover all children daily when colleagues are absent
  
• Observeand support children’s development, update the EyLog system and children’slearning journals with accuracy and relevance, and seek guidance fromcolleagues or Room Leader if in doubt
  
• Providethe all-around daily needs of children, including their physical,intellectual, social and emotional development
