Job description

We are seeking a Nursery Assistant to join our team. In this role, you'll help deliver high quality care and education to our children, fostering a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment. We're looking for someone who loves working with children - someone who is committed to helping each child become the best version of themselves. You’ll work closely with our team to plan and deliver fun, educational activities that support every aspect of a child’s development.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that support learning and development
  • Observe, assess, and record children’s progress accurately, uphold and promote safeguarding policies and child protection procedures
  • Support children with daily routines such as meals, toileting.
  • Attend essential training courses (e.g., First Aid, Food Hygiene, Safeguarding) which are all paid for and organised through management
  • Follow nursery policies and stay informed on relevant childcare legislation
  • Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and work colleagues.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and stimulating environment
Skills and Qualifications
  • Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification (or equivalent, e.g., Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education)
  • Fluency in written and spoken English for Health & Safety purposes
  • Teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and multitask effectively
  • Experience in activity planning and record-keeping
  • Understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities
  • Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting (preferred)
