Job summary

Grandir in Exeter is seeking a Nursery Apprentice to deliver high standards of care and education while you train toward a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship. You will identify individual needs, supervise daily activities, and engage children with stories, meals, play, and essential care tasks. Safeguarding procedures are a priority.

The role offers on-site working hours, with on-the-job training and progression toward recognised childcare qualifications.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training to up-skill for Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship.
• Includes Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification and possible Maths/English functional skills if required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and meet each child's individual needs.
• Supervise and support children throughout the day.
• Read stories, help at mealtimes, play games and change nappies.
• Act as a positive role-model and build relationships with staff and parents.
• Follow safeguarding procedures.
