A leading healthcare organization in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a Gynaecology Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist. You will manage patient assessments, provide specialist support, and contribute to the nurse-led service. Candidates should have extensive oncology experience, possess excellent communication skills, and meet NMC requirements. This role allows for flexible working arrangements and offers a chance to influence patient care within a multi-disciplinary team. Full-time role at 18.75 hours/week initially, with potential for extension.

We are excited to offer the opportunity of a Gynaecology Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist, working within Women's Services as part of the Gynaecology team alongside the QE Northern Cancer Alliance.
The role will require the post holder to have extensive knowledge and experience of Oncology, with specific knowledge and experience of Gynaecology being an advantage. The role will involve diagnostic and tertiary oncology treatment, managing a caseload of patients and supporting Consultant led clinics, management of data and database audits, patient education and support; and attending and presenting at Multi-disciplinary Team meetings. A range of clinical skills will be required, appropriate to care for this group of patients. You will be expected to be able to work autonomously, but also be integrated into the CNS team, as well as part of a well-established multi-disciplinary team. Excellent communication and counselling skills are essential. You will be expected to be able to use I.T systems for the management of nurse led clinics.
The role is initially for 18.75 hours/week, but this may develop as the service develops and expands.
