Overview

A Vacancy at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for an energetic, innovative, forward‑thinking, and self‑motivated clinician who has a background in Advanced Nurse Practice and is an independent non‑medical prescriber or working towards this qualification. The role involves working autonomously, responding to rapidly changing service priorities within a primary and acute care setting, and performing comprehensive assessment of patients with urgent presentations and developing working diagnosis and treatment plans whilst working without direct supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver urgent community response by travelling throughout Northeast Essex to assess and treat patients in their own homes within 2 hours.
  • Collaborate with the Urgent Community Response (UCR) team, virtual wards, Integrated Rapid Assessment Service (IRAS), Unplanned Community Nursing, and OPAT IV antibiotic service.
  • Develop and integrate advanced practice policy, education, practice development and research relevant to the needs of patients, staff and students.
  • Maintain clinical competence through mentoring, robust appraisal and allocated time for continuing professional development.

Location & Working Hours

Multi‑disciplinary team based in Kennedy House Clacton‑On‑Sea, with other bases in Colchester. 08:00 – 20:00, 7 days a week within the Northeast Essex community.
