Locums First is seeking Locum Nurse Practitioners to work in Honiton. This role offers fully flexible, sessional work across primary care services, ideal for NPs seeking autonomy with steady local opportunities across diverse clinical environments.

You will deliver NP-led clinics, manage minor illnesses, support triage workflows, and perform general clinical duties. Experience in GP/urgent care settings is valuable; Enhanced DBS is preferred. Flexible ongoing or ad-hoc bookings available.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Practitioner with current registration.
• Independent Prescribing qualification desirable.
• Experience in GP, urgent care, walk-in or community settings.

Responsibilities

• Run independent NP clinics across primary care services.

Key Responsibilities

• Running independent NP clinics across primary care services
• Managing minor illness presentations and routine patient assessments
• Providing telephone or face-to-face triage
• Prescribing within scope (if qualified)
• Handling clinical actions such as results and medication reviews
• Recording accurate and compliant clinical notes
• Supporting wider clinical teams where required

Requirements

• Registered Nurse Practitioner with relevant clinical background
• Independent Prescribing qualification desirable
• Experience in GP, urgent care, walk-in or community settings
• Strong assessment and decision-making skills
• Adaptability when working across different clinical environments
• Enhanced DBS
