A leading healthcare provider in Tiverton is seeking a Nurse or Paramedic Non‑Medical Prescriber. The role involves patient assessment, treatment and managing the Urgent Care Treatment Centre. Applicants should have non-medical prescribing qualifications and relevant experience. The position offers supportive training and a collaborative environment for professional growth.
The role of the Nurse or Paramedic Non‑Medical Prescriber will be responsible for the assessment, treatment and discharge of scheduled and unscheduled cases with an urgent nature and initial treatment and referral of emergency cases in patients of all ages. The post holder will use their non‑medical prescribing qualification to support patient care according to the local formulary. As senior clinicians they will also support staff who issue medications via PGD with their prescribing decisions. The post holder will take charge of the day‑to‑day running of the UTC and, in the absence of the operations manager, will manage general enquiries, staffing issues, complaints and support junior staff as needed. The post holder will be well supported by a friendly clinical and administrative team; induction and training will be provided, and SWASFT will provide medical indemnity. This is an evolving role within the Trust and is subject to change and development as required by the organisation.
