Job summary

SJB Medical is seeking a dedicated Functional Assessor in Milton Keynes to use your clinical expertise assessing health-related benefit applications. This full-time role offers regular hours, no night shifts, and no weekend work, with a Monday to Friday 9am-5pm pattern and centre-based work at one of our UK sites.

You will join a supportive multidisciplinary team, receive comprehensive training and clear career development pathways, and contribute to high-quality, evidence-based assessments.

Qualifications

• Be a registered healthcare professional (Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Paramedic, or Pharmacist).
• Have at least 12 months' post-registration experience within the last 5 years.
• Demonstrate strong communication, assessment, and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional assessments and produce clear, accurate, high-quality reports.
• Use clinical judgement to assess a wide range of physical and mental health conditions.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate records in line with clinical governance and quality standards.
• Engage in ongoing training, CPD, and clinical supervision.
• Deliver assessments with empathy, professionalism, and integrity.
