An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic, motivated Healthcare Assistants to join our bank team. We are looking for caring individuals who have a fully flexible approach to support in line with demand. Ideally you will have experience within a medical or nurse‑led service and possess excellent communication and organisational skills. You should be able to adapt to working in different environments, be reliable, offer flexibility, and demonstrate enthusiasm for the role. Successful applicants must possess excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team.
The role suits candidates who prefer having their evenings and weekends free, while still enjoying flexible start and finish times within standard working hours. It is specifically aimed at individuals who are available to work weekday early and late shifts (Weekday Early & Late). There are no weekend or night commitments.
For the Nurse Bank, it is desirable to have had a minimum of six months paid working experience as a Care Assistant / HCA either in a care home or hospital setting. A minimum of six months voluntary or unpaid care experience will also be considered. Care experience must be demonstrated within the application and interview. The six months experience (paid or unpaid) must have been completed within the last three years and, for bank / agency / relief work, evidence must be provided to show you have worked regularly during the period referenced.

Bank workers are asked to work 45 hours in a rolling six‑month period to maintain an active bank post. Bank allocation is flexible: applicants can give as much or as little availability as they wish.
All new employees starting work with us will be charged for the cost of their DBS check if required for the role. The cost will be deducted from your salary either in one payment or over a six‑month period once you start employment. DBS check fees are currently £27.38 for a standard check and £55.38 for an enhanced check. Volunteers and bank‑only staff will not be charged.

The Trust offers a generous relocation package of up to 30% of salary (capped at £18k) to support with relocation expenses for hard‑to‑fill positions where relocation would be an expectation to undertake the role fully.
