Job summary

Healthcare Homes Group is seeking a caring Registered Nurse to join the Avon Lodge nursing team in Kingswood, Bristol. You will provide compassionate care, support residents’ physical and psychological needs, and help with clinical tasks including medication administration and care plan updates.

The role includes full-time and part-time hours with alternate weekends. A thorough induction and ongoing training are provided, with opportunities for professional development within a well-supported

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration and up-to-date knowledge of clinical practices.
• Experience writing detailed care plans including risk assessments and diet plans.
• Compassionate, patient-centred caregiving with excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and care to residents, meeting physical and psychological needs.
• Administer, document, and order prescribed medications.
• Support with admissions and discharges of residents.
• Participate in weekly GP rounds and update resident care plans.
• Liaise with external parties when applicable and coach care team to maintain high standards of care.

If you are kind, compassionate and committed, we would love for you to join our nursing team at our lovely nursing home, Avon Lodge.

Avon Lodge is an attractive and spacious care home situated in Kingswood on the eastern edge of Bristol. The staff are friendly and welcoming and provide lots of support to residents. The newly decorated communal areas inside the home provide a lovely area for residents to spend time.

What would a typical day look like?

• Provide support and care to our residents, meeting their physical and psychological needs
• Administration, documentation and ordering of prescribed medication
• Support with new admissions and discharges of residents
• Weekly GP rounds
• Updating and maintaining resident care plans, liaising with external parties where applicable
• Coaching, supporting and developing our care team to deliver a high standard of care at all times

Our nursing team are the backbone of our home and it is essential that our team have current NMC registrations, up to date knowledge of clinical practices and experience in writing detailed care plans including risk assessments and diet plans. A good understanding of regulatory frameworks including MCA/DoLs is also required.

As part of our commitment to our nursing community, you will be provided with a thorough induction and training programme to further develop your skills along with the support and guidance of a well-established clinical training team.
