Southend Medical Centre are sadly losing our much loved practice nurse at the end of January 2026 so we are currently looking for a new nurse with experience in primary care. Ideally, we are looking for 24 hours over 3 days on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday however, hours and shift pattern are negotiable for the right candidate. We would also consider a sooner start for an effective handover.

  • To work as a registered practice nurse supporting the organisation and facilitate clinical care in a holistic and proactive manner to patients registered at the practice.
  • To maintain a high professional standard of nursing care in adherence to all practice protocols and policies, as well as to provide nursing assistance to the GPs and other members of the primary healthcare team.
  • It is essential that the practice nurse works within their own level of competency and expand their role in accordance with practice requirements and their own scope of practice.
