Job summary

Ingfield Manor School, part of Salutem Care and Education, is seeking a compassionate Registered Paediatric Nurse to join our school nursing team, supporting students with complex health needs.

The role involves coordinating care with the Senior Nurse, delivering evidence-based care, and training staff in individual care plans. Based at Ingfield Manor School, you will work in a supportive environment focused on safeguarding and holistic student wellbeing.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Nurse in coordinating the school’s Nursing team and maintaining high standards of care.
  • Assess students’ health needs, interpret clinical information, and take appropriate action.
  • Deliver and promote evidence-based care in line with national and local guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and care plans (e.g. asthma, respiratory, feeding plans).
  • Administer and manage medicines safely in line with policy.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and support unwell students.
  • Liaise with parents, staff and external health and social care professionals.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on students’ individual care needs.
  • Supervise and support team members to ensure high-quality practice.
  • Assist with clinics, specialist visits, and student assessments for new placements.
  • Participate in the nurse on-call rota and deputise for the Senior Nurse when required.

Ingfield Manor School is a non-maintained special school and part of Salutem Care and Education who have services across England and Wales supporting adults and children in residential and educational Environments.

Our IMS provision caters for students aged 3—19 years with neurological motor impairment such as Cerebral Palsy and associated medical and sensory needs. Following the Conductive Education approach, Ingfield Manor School focuses on the holistic development of everyone, including their physical and communication skills.

Our Woodview provision is for secondary aged students with special educational needs including speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) and autistic spectrum conditions (ASC).

We also have Beaumont Sussex on our campus, a Post-19 college for special educational needs and students with physical disabilities which is part of Beaumont College which offers pathways for students as they Prepare for Adulthood.

About The Role

Hours 37.50 hours/week. Term time only (39 weeks)

We are seeking a compassionate and organised Registered Paediatric Nurse to join our dedicated school nursing team, supporting students with a range of complex health needs.
