Job summary

AA Euro Group is recruiting Industrial Welders for the Hinkley Point C Nuclear Power Station Project. The role involves performing TIG and MMA welding, managing welding consumables, and ensuring high-integrity piping and structural welding.

Qualifications

• Proficient with TIG and MMA welding processes.
• Experience in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical/Thermal/Nuclear sectors.
• Experience welding Super-Duplex Stainless Steel (desirable).
• Experience welding Carbon Steel, Low-Alloy Steel and Austenitic Stainless Steel materials (essential).
• Recognised welding apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Welding certifications: BTEC/C&G/EAL/SEGS/ECITB Level 2 or Level 3 or equivalent.
• ISO 9606-1 welder qualifications.
• CCNSG Safety Passport.
• Satisfactory ECITB Skills Test prior to deployment at HPC.
• Knowledge of TIG & MMA; orbital TIG welding an advantage.
• Basic understanding of NDE methods (MT, PT, RT, UT) and impact on welding prep.

Responsibilities

• To perform welding operations to the required quality standard.
• Perform basic pre-work welding equipment checks.
• Control of welding consumables after issue.
• Awareness of the required welding acceptance standards.
• Management and control of welding fumes to self and others.
• Welding of high integrity piping and structural steel.
