Job summary

Sellafield Site is seeking a Technical Author (Nuclear Pre-Operations) to support a major project. You will produce high-quality operational documentation enabling safe commissioning and operation of nuclear facilities.

Work will be hybrid with an immediate start on a long-term contract, offering up to £51.00 per hour (umbrella PAYE) and the chance to contribute to one of the UK's significant decommissioning programmes.

Qualifications

• Experience in UK nuclear industry is required.
• Minimum HNC in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering.
• Experience producing technical documentation or SOPs/maintenance instructions.
• Must be able to obtain SC clearance.

Responsibilities

• Produce Operation, Maintenance and Emergency Instructions.
• Develop Risk Assessments to support procedures.
• Review drawings, design info and vendor docs.
• Carry out plant validation and update docs after site walkdowns.
• Liaise with engineering and commissioning stakeholders.
• Attend meetings and provide status updates.
• Ensure documentation meets safety and quality standards.
