Job summary

Babcock invites undergraduates to apply for the Safety and Environmental Engineering Undergraduate Summer Internship at the Bristol Technology Centre. You will contribute to safety analyses, risk assessments and environmental impact evaluations, supporting national defence-related operations.

You will work with experienced engineers, gain hands-on experience, and explore potential progression through Babcock’s graduate programmes while helping deliver safe, sustainable naval engineering.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate studying a BSc or BEng (Hons) in a STEM subject required.
• Must be able to obtain BPSS, Security Check (SC) and Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPPI) clearances.
• Eligible UK national status required under applicable security legislation.

Responsibilities

• Join a 12-week internship in the Safety and Environmental Engineering team at the Bristol Technology Centre.
• Contribute to safety analyses, risk assessments and environmental impact evaluations.
• Assist in developing safety cases and supporting Navy-related engineering activities.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to apply academic knowledge to safe, sustainable solutions.
