Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Project Director and Altrad UK Head of Quality, you will manage and lead a quality team in the execution of a complex nuclear decommissioning or construction projects.
  • Ensure QA and QC compliance with legal requirements, client standards, ISO standards as well as processes and procedures.
  • Ensure suitable governance and assurance of project including management of the audit schedule.
  • Manage Quality related KPI's for the project.
  • Develop project-specific quality plans / operating procedures to comply with project requirements.
  • Manage QA/QC team to ensure adoption of pragmatic approach to assurance of Quality on all phases of the Project, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning or Decommissioning, taking cognisance of commercial, schedule and budget constraints.
  • Management of internal and external Audits, both on and off site, in accordance with the project audit schedule.
  • Management of supply chain quality, inclusive of all pre-qualification assessments, supply chain audits, inspections, supply chain performance and lifetime quality record compilation.
  • Monitoring of performance against Quality KPI's.
Qualifications
  • HND/NVQ Level 5 (preferably in a related subject)/CQI Diploma or significant and related professional experience; would satisfy the requirements of professional registration (e.g. Chartered Member) of a professional institution (e.g. CQI).
  • Experience in the application of relevant quality management system standards (ISO 9001); Knowledge of the requirements of GS-R-3 (management systems for nuclear installations).
  • Experienced in investigation to determine root cause, learning, proposed improvements and verification of implementation of preventative measures to prevent recurrence of failure.
  • Experienced in implementation of risk‑based QA/QC arrangements and controls proportionate to the assigned Quality Grade and the link to maintaining Nuclear Safety.
  • Effective Report Writing and Communication Skills.
  • Proven background in a similar role managing QA/QC personnel within a highly regulated industry, Lead Auditor Qualification e.g. ISO9001.
  • Knowledge and application of Pressure Equipment Directive/ Safety Regulations; EN1090, ISO 3834-2 and other sector specific Quality Standards.
  • Application of ISO19443.
