NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a large team delivering diagnostic imaging services across Glasgow. The role includes patient-focused imaging, processing and data management, and radiopharmaceutical administration under IRMER guidance.

Applicants should have a relevant degree, healthcare experience, and the ability to plan and execute technical projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Medical Technology, Physical Science or BSc in Diagnostic or Therapeutic Radiology or equivalent.
• HNC/ONC with significant suitable experience considered.
• Registration on the Register for Clinical Technologists (RCT) desirable.
• DipIPEM (T) training plan if not eligible, possibly including postgraduate modules within 2.5 years.

Responsabilités

• Deliver high-quality Nuclear Medicine procedures with safe, patient-centered care.
• Prepare and monitor patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic investigations.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals and assist with procedures per training and legislation.
• Operate, maintain and QA-check specialised imaging equipment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and deliver timely services.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure governance, radiation safety and confidentiality.
• Support departmental audit, service development and CPD initiatives.
