Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking and talented individual to join the Nuclear Medicine team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT). This is an exciting training post for a radiography or science degree graduate who will develop clinical skills in nuclear medicine under the supervision of senior technologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a broad range of supervised duties within Nuclear Medicine, ensuring a high level of imaging quality for patients.
  • Work closely with senior technologists and liaise with other healthcare professionals within and outside the department.
  • Aid in protocol development and implementation, routine quality control, and carry out various imaging examinations, including SPECT‑CT imaging.
  • Support the training programme, including attendance at Salford University to earn a Post Graduate Diploma in Nuclear Medicine.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Independent working experience and strong foundational knowledge in anatomy, physiology, physics, chemistry and mathematics.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to interact effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Patient‑focused care ethic and professional behaviour.
  • Commitment to obtaining and maintaining HCPC or RCT registration as part of employment with the trust.
Training & Development

As a training post, you will receive structured support, including a dedicated mentor and opportunities to undertake additional postgraduate education. You will progress to a registered, fully qualified nuclear medicine technologist.
