Emeya Recruitment Limited is sourcing a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing nuclear engineering company in the North West, with hybrid working. The role offers long-term career development, specialist training and progression.

Open to engineers from several backgrounds, including oil & gas, rail, aerospace, defence and automotive, with strong mechanical design experience and a desire to transfer skills into nuclear.

Qualifications

• A degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Professional experience in mechanical design engineering.
• Experience using relevant engineering design tools and techniques.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• An interest in working within the nuclear sector and developing expertise in a highly regulated environment.
• Experience from nuclear, oil & gas, rail, aerospace, defence, automotive or another technically demanding engineering sector.
• A Full UK Driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the delivery of complex engineering projects, developing practical and technically robust mechanical design solutions within a highly regulated environment.
• Work alongside experienced engineers and develop knowledge of nuclear engineering, project delivery, design standards and safety-critical systems.
• Broaden technical expertise while gaining valuable experience on major nuclear projects.
