Job summary

Progressive is seeking a Project Manager to lead the Long Lead Items workstream on a flagship national nuclear programme. You will oversee procurement, manufacture and delivery of critical components, interfacing with key suppliers and regulators across the UK.

The role requires experience in regulated environments, alliance delivery, and managing complex site and construction scopes to meet time, cost and quality objectives. Hybrid working and Inside IR35 apply.

Qualifications

• Infrastructure project management experience across site and construction scopes.
• Experience in regulated environments (nuclear or energy) with safety and quality compliance.
• Experience planning and overseeing early procurement of critical components (long-lead items).
• Experience monitoring manufacturing activities and ensuring regulatory compliance across supply chains.
• Familiarity with NEC3/NEC4 contracts for managing performance and supplier relationships.
• Experience with alliances and multi-party delivery structures.
• Exposure to projects across nuclear, energy, civils or other regulated industries.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with suppliers, regulators and government bodies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Long Lead Items (LLI) workstream, overseeing procurement, manufacture and delivery of critical components.
• Coordinate with suppliers and strategic partners to protect the project schedule and critical path.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and regulatory requirements across the programme.
