Job summary

Vulcain Engineering UK is seeking a Civil Engineer to support a major nuclear new build programme in Bristol. The role focuses on developing, reviewing and updating civil engineering technical documentation, specifications and construction requirements for large-scale infrastructure and nuclear facilities.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design consistency and compliance with industry standards, health and safety regulations and project quality requirements in a regulated

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in civil engineering, civil structures, infrastructure or construction environments.
• Knowledge of civil engineering design processes, specifications and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Review civil engineering specifications, design docs and deliverables.
• Carry out gap analyses to identify updates and changes.
• Update and develop civil engineering docs, specifications and construction requirements.
• Support replication/adaptation of civil designs for nuclear build projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design consistency.
• Review structures, geotechnical data and construction methods against requirements.
• Participate in technical workshops, reviews and stakeholder meetings.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and health and safety legislation.
