Job summary

Vision for Education is recruiting for NTAP Teaching Assistants to support pupils across primary, secondary and SEND settings in Scunthorpe and surrounding areas. This National Teaching Assistant Programme offers paid placements, fully funded training and ongoing mentoring.

If you have transferable care or coaching experience and a passion for helping children develop, this role could be ideal. Flexibility is essential for a supply role, with opportunities across multiple schools and year groups

Qualifications

• Be passionate about working with children and young people.
• Have transferable skills gained through care, support work, youth work, sports coaching, nursery work or other relevant experience.
• Be flexible and willing to work across a variety of schools, year groups and educational settings.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be enthusiastic, reliable and committed to making a positive impact in the classroom.
• Hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check and be registered to the Update Service.
• Be committed to completing the free training provided as part of the National Teaching Assistant Programme.

Responsibilities

• Work across primary, secondary and SEND schools in Scunthorpe and surrounding areas.
• Support children of different ages, abilities and educational needs.
• Gain skills through paid placements and funded training as part of NTAP.
• Be flexible to work across various schools and year groups.
