Are you a technically minded engineer with a passion for turning ideas into production reality?

Step into a role where your engineering expertise shapes products from concept to production. This is a hands‑on opportunity to join a forward‑looking manufacturer, combining project engineering with design for manufacture in plastics and tooling.

The Role

Manage all aspects of NPI projects from customer enquiry through to production.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead NPI projects from enquiry through to launch
  • Apply Design for Manufacture (DfM) principles to ensure robust, cost‑effective solutions
  • Liaise with tooling suppliers and manage jig & fixture sourcing
  • Control costs, prototypes, and engineering changes
  • Prepare APQP & PPAP documentation
  • Train operators, develop SOPs & work instructions for new tooling
  • Support quotations and technical proposals
  • Use 3D CAD (approx. 15% of role) to support design activity
  • International travel to visit suppliers and customers, building strong technical relationships
About You

We are looking for someone with:

  • Experienced Tooling Engineer, Design Engineer, Project Engineer or similar
  • A background in tooling and plastics, ideally with injection moulding experience.
  • Min HNC is a relevant engineering qualification
  • Strong project engineering skills with design knowledge – Catia V5 – advantageous
  • Knowledge / experience of APQP, PPAP, DFMEA and engineering change management.
  • Ability to translate customer requirements into robust, manufacturable solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
