Job summary

iO Associates seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer - NPI (TMS) for a Clevedon-based role. £53,000 per annum, with three days on-site per week. Lead mechanical activities from concept to production launch in advanced vacuum and thermal management environments.

You will drive mechanical architecture decisions, balance cost and performance, and collaborate with electrical, controls, systems and test engineers on integrated solutions. Occasional customer-site support is expected.

Qualifications

Experience leading NPI/product development projects.
Experience taking products from concept to production release.
Background in semiconductor, vacuum technology, process equipment or aerospace.

Responsibilities

Lead mechanical engineering activities on NPI projects from concept through to production launch.
Own mechanical architecture decisions balancing performance, manufacturability, reliability, serviceability and cost.
Develop mechanical solutions for advanced thermal management products used in demanding environments.
Lead 3D modelling, detailed component and assembly design activities.
Apply thermal engineering principles, including heat transfer and thermal system optimisation.
Contribute to thermal modelling and system performance analysis.
Work closely with manufacturing teams to support product industrialisation.
