Role Responsibilities

As a NPI Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing multiple New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from feasibility to full production.
  • Acting as the single point of accountability for product introduction across all stages: concept, development, scale‑up, qualification and handover.
  • Applying chemistry and process engineering expertise to assess formulations and scale‑up feasibility.
  • Supporting technical trials, validation, and data analysis to optimise process design.
  • Ensuring all pre‑launch readiness elements are completed, including documentation, raw material approvals, quality plans, and EHS/PSM assessments.
  • Overseeing first production runs and resolving initial performance or yield issues.
  • Driving collaboration across R&D, Operations, Quality, Procurement, and Commercial functions.
  • Implementing EHS/PSM procedures and supporting site HAZOP studies.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance manufacturability and reduce cost.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal standards, EHS regulations, and customer requirements.
Experience and Competencies

What we are looking for:

  • PhD or MSc in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or relevant discipline.
  • Proven track record managing NPI or technology transfer projects in chemical, materials, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Ideally 5+ years in laboratory, production, or process development roles, preferably in a multinational company.
  • Knowledge in organic, polymeric, and epoxy chemistry; understanding of chemical production processes.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking.
  • Knowledge of reaction kinetics and modelling.
  • Proficiency in analytical methodologies and statistical principles.
