Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking an experienced NPD Process Technologist to support the development and launch of innovative food products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will translate product concepts into scalable factory processes while ensuring quality, food safety, and customer requirements.

Based in Shepton Mallet, Somerset, you will work with Technical, Operations, Quality and commercial teams, lead trials, manage documentation and drive continuous improvement to enhance manufacturing

Qualifications

• Qualification in Food Science or Food Technology is required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in food manufacturing, NPD or process development.
• Strong project management, planning and organisational skills.
• HACCP Level 2/3 knowledge or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead product and process trials from concept through to launch.
• Manage factory trials, first productions and process validation activities.
• Create and maintain accurate trial documentation, blend sheets, specs and quality records.
• Liaise with customers and cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Coordinate pre-trial meetings, sensory evaluations, shelf-life assessments and launch reviews.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, allergen controls and site procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.

We are seeking an experienced NPD Process Technologist to support the development and launch of innovative food products within a fast:paced manufacturing environment. Working closely with Technical, Operations, Quality, and commercial teams, you will be responsible for translating product concepts into efficient, scalable factory processes while ensuring quality, food safety, and customer requirements are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead product and process trials from concept through to launch.

About You

• Food Science, Food Technology, or related qualification.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
