Job summary

Artisan People in London is seeking an experienced NPD Assistant to drive concept-to-launch for a luxury fragrance brand, coordinating with fragrance houses, marketing, packaging and regulatory partners. This fast-paced role values attention to detail, data handling and strong communication as you manage timelines, artwork, product specs and supplier relationships across the end-to-end NPD process.

Candidates should have 5+ years in a similar NPD role within fragrance, a marketing or business

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in a similar NPD role within a fragrance company.
• Experience with a recognised beauty group such as L’Oréal, Estée Lauder, Unilever or Coty is a strong advantage.
• A degree in marketing or business development (a Masters is a bonus).
• A sharp analytical mind with confidence handling numbers and detail.
• A passion for beauty and strong product knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence at every level.
• Strong project management skills and an eye for detail.
• Confident across Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Speed and accuracy when managing data and documentation.
• A collaborative approach and a talent for building strong relationships, internally and externally.

Responsibilities

• Support the end-to-end NPD process, from concept ideation through to product launch
• Produce monthly Innovation and Inspiration reports covering market trends, competitor activity and social media insight
• Manage project timelines, keeping every milestone on track
• Support formulation and testing with the fragrance house and external labs
• Coordinate packaging development, ensuring compliance and brand alignment with the contract manufacturer
• Own the artwork process, from brief to final approval
• Create and maintain master product documents and technical specifications for every SKU
• Keep the physical product archive and packaging library organised and accurate
• Update adverse reaction and quality incident databases
• Place initial purchase orders and manage raw material procurement through to delivery
