Job summary

Hovis Nottingham Bakery is seeking an experienced Production Front Line Manager to lead a shift team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for delivering production targets safely, on time and to the required quality standards on the shop floor.

This hands-on role focuses on people management, performance, and standards, with accountability for attendance, conduct, and continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with food safety and GMP practices.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in manufacturing, food, FMCG, warehouse or similar.
• Strong people management and performance management skills.
• Confident managing absence, conduct and day-to-day ER issues.
• Comfortable working to KPIs and production targets.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supervising a production team.
• Delivering KPIs across safety, quality, output, waste and yield.
• Managing attendance, performance and conduct.
• Driving daily production plans and resolving issues in real time.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety / GMP standards.
• Maintaining accurate production and performance records.
• Supporting continuous improvement activity.
