Job summary

Energy Assets invites a Head of Tendering & Design – North to lead a high-performing team responsible for developing robust, technically compliant ICP tender submissions for LV and 11kV networks across the North. You will oversee design, cost, and programme integration from opportunity through to handover to delivery.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in UK utilities ICP/IDNO sectors and commercial design/tendering.
• Strong technical leadership and delivery assurance for LV/11kV network connections.
• Proven track record in margin delivery, risk management, and bid optimisation.
• Experience with DNO/IDNO standards (G81, G99, BS7671) and regulator interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial and strategic tender submissions aligned to margin targets.
• Provide design authority and ensure adoptable, cost-optimised designs.
• Develop and lead a high-performing multidisciplinary team; manage resource planning and succession.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Operations, and clients to align solutions with needs.
• Governance of pricing, cost build-ups, and risk allocation; drive bid efficiency.
