Wickersley Partnership Trust is seeking a dedicated Non-Teaching Assistant Head of Year to join our pastoral team. Working directly with a specific year group under the Head of Year, you will support behaviour, welfare, and academic progress on a day-to-day basis.

You will respond to incidents, mentor students, and liaise with families to remove barriers to learning, helping every child feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.

Job description

In this pivotal non-teaching role, you will be the constant, supportive presence for a specific year group. Working under the direction of the Head of Year, you will manage behaviour, welfare, and academic progress on a day-to-day basis. Because you are not classroom-based, you will be immediately available to respond to incidents, mentor students, and liaise with families. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that every child feels safe, supported, and ready to learn, acting as a bridge between home and school.
