Job summary

Cranstoun in Sandwell is seeking an enthusiastic NMP to join our clinical team. You will work with people with substance misuse and complex needs, delivering high-quality care in a harm-reduction focused environment.

The role requires registration with NMC or GPHC and a commitment to equality, safeguarding, and evidence-based practice. Travel across Sandwell and on-site/outreach clinics are expected.

Qualifications

  • Qualified nurse or advanced clinical practitioner with valid NMC or GPHC registration.
  • Experience with people with complex needs including substance misuse.
  • Strong harm reduction approach and commitment to safe, compassionate care.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and clinical guidelines relevant to drug and alcohol services.

Responsibilities

  • Prescribe within on-site clinics and outreach locations across Sandwell.
  • Deliver care that is specific and evidence-based, meeting service users' needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, service users and external teams across the borough.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to meet service needs and deliver alternative treatment options.

Salary: £43,920 - £54,160 per annum, dependent on experienceand qualifications

We areseekingan enthusiastic,compassionateand experienced NMP to joinourclinical team in Sandwell.The successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of the issues affecting people with substance misuse and alcohol complexities. Theywill be driven by safe practice,compassionand a desire to help people bemore healthyand well.

This position requires a qualified nurse or advanced clinical practitioner withappropriateand valid registration with either the NMC or GPHC and relevant experience.

You will have experience of working with people with complex needs including substance misuse and a commitment to making the lives of our service users healthier and safer by providing a high-qualityservice. The successful candidate will need a strong harm reduction approach to their work and a commitment to providing a caring,compassionateand safe ethos for our service users. You will need knowledge of general health issues affecting people who use drugs and alcohol and have a good understanding of the relevant legislation including safeguarding and clinical guidelines for our patient group.

You will need to be comfortable with the recovery principles in addictions, ITEP and NICE guidance on detoxification and stabilisation protocols. You will be able todemonstrateskills to ensure that the care delivered is specific and evidence based whilst adhering to service user’s needs.Yourprescribingwork will be carried outflexibly incorporatingon-site clinics as well as some outreachand satellitelocationsacross Sandwell.You will need to be flexible in your approach andaccommodatedeliveringalternativetreatment options/projectsto meet service needand to build our ethos of meeting people where they are at.

You will have a willingness and desire to work in a dynamic and responsive environment and be able to demonstrate your ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, service users and external teams across the borough,alsoyou will be flexible and able to travel around the borough easily.Equality of opportunity and treatment isvery importantto us so you will need to have a non-judgemental and inclusive attitude towards colleagues and service users.
