Non LGV Driver – Waste & Recycling Collection Operative

Job reference: HFWR00031N1HME

Location: Waste Transfer Station, Denbigh

Salary: Grade 4 (£25,583 - £26,824 per annum)

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Closing date: 18th November 2025

We require enthusiastic people to work on the collection rounds within the boundaries of Denbighshire.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive a vehicle of up to 7.5 tonnes (Category C1 licence).
  • Perform collection rounds, which can involve walking up to 10 miles a day and moving and lifting recycling containers presented by residents.
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions, with flexible hours including some weekends and bank holidays.
  • Maintain a good standard of fitness for physically demanding tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members, demonstrating positive behaviour and a flexible approach to work.

Requirements:

  • Category C1 licence.
  • Good fitness and ability to lift and move heavy items.
  • Positive team‑player attitude and flexible working.
  • Experience or willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and bank holidays.
