A large NHS organization is seeking a Non-Executive Director focused on digital transformation and emerging technologies, including AI. The role requires strategic insight and strong leadership abilities, with a commitment to equality and inclusion. Responsibilities include contributing to the Trust’s strategy, supporting decision-making at Board level, and ensuring quality governance. This position offers comprehensive induction and ongoing development opportunities, making it suitable for those new to the NHS Board level.
Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an outstanding individual to join our Board as a Non‑Executive Director, with a focus on digital transformation, data and emerging technologies, including AI.
This is a pivotal time for the Trust. Alongside rising demand, financial pressures and system‑wide change, we have a significant opportunity to harness digital innovation to improve patient outcomes, staff experience and how we work across our health system. We are looking for someone who brings strategic insight, strong values and inclusive leadership, and who is motivated by making a difference for patients, staff and communities.
You do not need previous NHS or Board experience to apply. This may be your first Non‑Executive Director role. What matters most is your ability to think strategically, challenge constructively, and bring fresh perspective. A comprehensive induction, mentoring and ongoing development will be provided to support you in the role.
Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is a large and diverse NHS organisation serving a population of over one million people across Berkshire, Surrey and Hampshire. As an anchor organisation, we play an active role in supporting local employment, skills development and inclusive growth. We work closely with partners across the Integrated Care System (ICS) to improve population health and reduce inequalities, while investing in digital transformation, modern estates and our workforce, including a state‑of‑the‑art Electronic Patient Record and participation in the New Hospital Programme.
At Frimley Health, our people are our greatest strength. Our Board is committed to creating an inclusive, compassionate culture where our values and behaviours are lived every day and where colleagues feel supported to deliver outstanding care.
