About the Role:

We are hiring a Nokia Resident Engineer for an onsite position in Oakbrook, IL. The role requires proven Nokia experience within the past two years, with responsibility for providing hands-on technical support, managing day-to-day operations, and ensuring the smooth delivery of network services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for network issues, investigating and addressing faults before escalating to Nokia Care when necessary.
  • Support the customer in carrying out network upgrades, migrations, and change implementations.
  • Draft and validate Method of Procedures (MOPs) and participate in required acceptance or readiness testing.
  • Document incidents, create performance reports, and maintain an accurate record of configuration changes and upgrades.
  • Coordinate onsite work, providing direction to contractors and engineers during integration and installation.
  • Assist in product rollouts and feature validation where applicable.
Requirements:
  • Practical knowledge of Nokia AirScale and FlexiZone BTS (indoor and outdoor) operations and maintenance.
  • Must have proven Nokia experience within the past 2 years.
  • Skilled in using BTS Element Manager (via web interface, Site Manager, and CLI).
  • Proficient with Nokia diagnostic and tracing utilities such as Emil toolkit, DCAP, UTF, and 5G toolkit.
  • Experienced in working with Nokia OSS (Mantray) tools including configuration management, workflow, software management, and monitoring platforms.
  • Comfortable navigating and extracting information from the Nokia Discovery Documentation Center.
  • Strong record-keeping skills, with the ability to track changes, maintain documentation, and produce clear reports.
  • Must have proper authorisation to work in the USA (US Citizen or GC holder).
