A recruitment agency is seeking a skilled NOC Engineer to join a 24/7 team in Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland. The successful candidate will manage incidents and ensure service delivery within a fast-paced IT environment. This full-time role offers a competitive salary of up to £32k with additional shift allowance, along with benefits such as annual leave, pension scheme, and training opportunities.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated NOC Engineer to join our dynamic Network Operations Centre (NOC) team. Based at our Belfast site, this role is part of a 24/7 shift pattern supporting critical IT and network infrastructure for a range of clients.
The NOC Engineer will act as the first point of escalation for technical issues, resolving incidents efficiently, coordinating with field engineers and third-party suppliers, and ensuring high-quality service delivery. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong operational background in IT/Networking who thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Two sets of day shifts: 4 days on (07:00-19:00), 4 days off, repeat
Two sets of night shifts: 4 nights on (19:00-07:00), 4 nights off, repeat
All applicants must have previous shift experience
Serve as the first point of escalation for customer calls and network faults.
Log, manage, and resolve incidents and service requests using ITSM tools like Remedy.
Maintain accurate shift handovers and ticket updates.
Configure and troubleshoot Cisco, Juniper, Adtran devices, modems, routers, and other IT systems.
Manage circuit faults across ADSL, SDSL, Ethernet, NGA, MPF, SMPF networks.
Collaborate with field engineers, third-party suppliers, and internal teams to resolve issues.
Monitor network health using SolarWinds and ensure SLA adherence.
Deliver clear communication to clients and internal teams throughout incident lifecycle.
Proven experience in IT Helpdesk or NOC/operations environments.
Strong troubleshooting skills in IT and networking.
Experience in enterprise network support; CCNA or equivalent preferred.
Windows OS and server support experience beneficial.
Familiarity with ITIL practices and working to SLAs.
Excellent communication, attention to detail, and customer service skills.
Ability to perform under pressure and foster collaborative relationships.
Eligible for Security Clearance or able to obtain.
