National Milk Records is seeking a self-employed, part-time Milk Sampler to visit dairy farms across the Shropshire- Cheshire Border and collect milk samples from individual cows. You will work independently, organising samples and following farm bio-security protocols while travelling between farms.
This role offers flexible hours and the autonomy of self-employment, with payment based on herd size on a per-cow basis. Prior dairy farm experience is welcome but not essential.
Does being outdoors, travelling between farms, and supporting the dairy industry appeal to you? If so, we want to hear from you!
We're looking for dedicated, self-employed Milk Samplers to join our team. This role offers the freedom to work across the beautiful countryside, visiting farms and collecting individual cow milk samples throughout the year. If you enjoy being out on farms, witnessing the seasons change, and want flexible work, this role is for you!
NMR (National Milk Records) supports the UK dairy industry by providing essential services like milk testing, recording, and data insights. Our work helps farmers monitor herd health, improve milk quality, and boost productivity, offering valuable information on breeding, nutrition, and disease management.
As a Self-Employed Milk Sampler, you'll be at the heart of this process, visiting farms to collect milk samples from individual cows over a whole milking. These samples are crucial for NMR to deliver detailed reports, empowering farmers to make informed decisions that keep their herds healthy and their businesses thriving.
As a self-employed contractor, you'll have the autonomy to manage your work independently. Payment for this role is based on herd size, calculated on a per-cow basis, and we'll discuss the details before you're allocated to a farm/s.
