The NIPE Midwife will be responsible for both leading and participating in a 7 day a week roster for the NIPE service.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the discharge pathway for women and babies.

  • Work throughout the maternity unit in areas other than the postnatal ward / NIPE clinic as required.
  • Work autonomously within national and local guidelines and sphere of professional practice.
  • Assess service needs and development, and implement and evaluate care pathways.
  • Adhere to statutory requirements for midwives in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council regulations and the Midwives Rules and Codes of practice.
