Job summary

A social care organization is looking for a dedicated Nightshift Team Leader to assist in managing a scheme supporting individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs. The role includes developing relationships with service users, collaborating with statutory professionals, and ensuring a high standard of care. Required qualifications include a professional social work qualification or relevant degree, with at least one year of social care experience.

Qualifications

  • Willing to work various shifts, including day and night.
  • Registered or eligible for registration on the NISCC’s register.

Job description

We are recruiting for a Nightshift Team Leader.To assist the Area Manager in the effective and efficient management of the scheme and to lead the team alongside the manager in providing the highest possible standard of support to the people who use our services in line with Inspire’s strategy.This post with Inspire is designed to meet the demands of delivering quality services to people with learning disabilities, Autism, and complex needs.

Responsibilities
  • Develop & maintain a trusting and professional relationship with the people who use our services and act in a supportive and empathetic manner towards them.
  • Contribute to, and help maintain a harmonious and therapeutic environment.
  • Work closely with statutory professionals, including the Positive Behaviour Support Service and Intensive Behaviour Support Services, to ensure plans are delivered consistently and appropriately as outlined by the commissioners.
  • Actively encourage the involvement of the people who use our services in all aspects of decision making, be sensitive and seek solutions in difficulties encountered by the people who use our services.
  • Support the people who use our services to manage their physical health, mental health and wellbeing through the development, implementation and monitoring of individual.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Be willing to work various shifts, including day shifts, sleep over cover, night cover, evening and weekend work on a shift rota basis.
  • Professional qualification e.g. Professional Social Work qualification and be registered or eligible for registration on appointment on the NISCC’s register.A first level registered nurse on the appropriate part of the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
  • Or:A relevant Degree i.e. Psychology, Social Care and be registered or eligible for registration on appointment on the NISCC’s register.
  • Or:NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification or equivalent and be registered or eligible for registration.
  • A minimum of 1 years’ experience working in a Social Care setting.Experience of liaising with statutory and other voluntary agencies.
  • Proven experience of financial planning and managing monies.Have proven experience of motivating Services Users.
