Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience or Degree Equivalent within Engineering.
  • Managerial/supervisory/team leader experience.
  • Lean manufacturing background or a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Strong understanding of HACCP standards.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the team to meet production plan demands.
  • Ensure products meet quality requirements and specifications.
  • Control ingredient and packaging flow to meet targets.
  • Train and coach Factory Operators for improved performance.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Skills

Job Title – Nightshift Production Manager
Job Location – South Co. Down
Salary – Based on Experience

A leading Manufacturing company based in South Co. Down are currently on the lookout for Nightshift Production Manager to join their expanding team.

You will be working with a successful Food Manufacturing business who pride themselves on providing a high-quality service to customers and staff where you will be responsible for managing a large team to meet the requirements of production plan and overseeing any issues.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Proactively manage the team to meet daily/weekly production plan demand.
  • Assessing project and resource requirements.
  • Ensuring all products prepared and produced according to specifications and meets all our quality requirements.
  • Ensuring all Quality and Production operations carried out to the production schedule to meet quality and efficiency targets.
  • Leasing with other departments such as Quality and Purchasing to make sure service levels targets are met.
  • Controlling ingredient and packaging flow. Making sure yield and waste targets are met.
  • Training and coaching all Factory Operators to enhance and increase the performance and productivity within the company.
  • Estimating, negotiating, and agreeing budgets and timescales with clients and managers.
  • Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met.
  • Overseeing production processes.
  • Monitor KPIs, health and safety regulations, team budgets and more
  • Working with the general manager, transport manager and purchasing manager to ensure the smooth running of the business.
Experience Required
  • 5+ years’ experience or Degree Equivalent within Engineering.
  • Managerial/supervisory /team leader experience.
  • A lean manufacturing background or a strong focus on continuous improvement.
  • Strong understanding of HACCP.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in line with company requirements.
  • Excellent Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication.
  • Working knowledge of MRP Systems.
  • Working knowledge of production planning in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in approach and sourcing.
