Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of both routine and emergency surgeries.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care out-of-hours consultations.
• Transfer member practice cases.
• Deliver inpatient care, medical work-ups, and surgery.
• Lead on surgical and medical cases, accurately carry out diagnostic investigations.
• Maintain and improve clinical standards while mentoring junior staff.

Skills

Veterinary Surgeon (Nights)

Location: Bristol

Contract: Part Time – First Opinion Practice

Competitive Salary: up to £65,000 (DOE) annualised hours

Schedule & Working Hours

• Average 12 hours per week
• One in three weeks includes 36 hours (Week 1), 2 weeks off
• Monday‑Wednesday nights, 8 pm – 9 am
• On‑call (OOH)
• Inclusive of exotic inpatient care
• Sole charge
• Emergency critical care (ECC)

Role Overview
