Job summary

LF&E is seeking a reliable Night Trunk Driver to complete a nightly route to Swadlincote, Derbyshire, supporting our healthcare supply chain. You will hold a Full UK Driving Licence (3+ years) with good geographic knowledge and a professional approach.

Van driving and warehouse/trunking experience are preferred but not mandatory. The role offers overtime pay, a company pension, free on-site parking, 25 days holiday plus training and progression opportunities, with checks including DBS and Right

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence held for at least 3 years with max 6 points.
• Reliable, flexible, and professional.
• Van driving experience preferred.
• Warehouse and trunking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sort and load fails and returns at the depot for Swadlincote delivery.
• Drive a van to and from the Swadlincote depot.
• Load sharps bins at the depot for transport to Swadlincote.
• Unload the vehicle on arrival and dispose of sharps bins correctly.
• Follow the fails and returns procedure for ambient and chilled items.
• Assist with sortation, final scanning, and vehicle loading.
• Return to depot and sort packages into routes for network drivers.
• Ensure operations comply with safety, GDP, MHRA, and legal standards.
• Support warehouse operations and maintain a collaborative approach.

We’re looking for areliable and professional Night Trunk Driverto complete a set nightly route to Swadlincote, Derbyshire, supporting our healthcare supply chain.

Schedule:

Night shift, 45 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 20:30 – 05:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Sort and load fails and returns at the local depot for delivery to SwadlincoteCD.
• Drive a van to and from the Swadlincotedepot.
• Load sharps bins at the local depot for transport to Swadlincote.
• On arrival, unload the vehicle and dispose of sharps bins in the appropriate containers.
• Follow the fails and returns procedure, handing over both ambient and chilled items to our team.
• Assist with sortation, final scanning, and vehicle loading at Swadlincote.
• On return to the local depot, unload the vehicle and sort packages into designated routes for our network drivers.
• Ensure all operations comply with safety procedures, GDP, MHRA, and legal standards.
• Support warehouse operations when needed and maintain a professional, collaborative approach.

A Typical Shift Overview

Your shift begins at your localdepot, where you’ll load sharps bins along with any fails and returns. Once everything is secured, you’ll set off on your nightly route to our Swadlincotedepot.

When you arrive at Swadlincote, you’ll unload the vehicle and dispose of the sharps bins in the appropriate container. You’ll then follow the fails and returns procedure, handing over both ambient and chilled items to the team on site. After that, you’ll assist with sortation, complete the final scanning, and help with loading vehicles for onward deliveries.

Once everything is complete, you’ll return to your local depot. There, you’ll unload your vehicle and sort packages into their designated routes, ready for our network drivers to continue the supply chain.

What You’ll Need

• Full UK Driving Licence (held for at least 3 years, with no more than 6 points).
• Reliability, flexibility, and professionalism.
• Previous van driving experience(preferred)
• Previous warehouse and trunking experience (preferred).
• Good geographical knowledge and strong logical thinking skills.
