Job summary

Bis Henderson Recruitment is recruiting a Night shift Transport Planner in Lutterworth to support a major client. You will receive customer orders, create a road transport plan and coordinate with fleet and 3rd party suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency.

The role requires prior transport planning experience, strong communication and a methodical approach. The position is on site with a day-to-night shift pattern and potential for progression.

Qualifications

• Previous Transport Planning experience.
• Experience in the FMCG sector - preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, spoken and written.
• Proven ability to work as part of a team.
• Methodical and structured problem solving.
• Flexible and approachable.
• PC literacy including Word & Excel.
• Knowledge of drivers hours is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Receiving customer orders and creating a road transport plan.
• Liaising with own fleet and 3rd party transport suppliers.
• Assist in negotiating rates with customers and transport providers.
• Plan orders for large scale customers across the UK.
• Build and maintain relationships with transport providers, warehouses and customers.
• Ensure financial and service requirements of contracts are met.
• Deliver added value through innovative project work.
• Monitor compliance with processes and customer requests.
