Job summary

Village Hotels in Farnborough is seeking a Night Team Leader to drive the night shift, run the overnight audit, secure the building, and support guests and staff until dawn.

You will lead the night team, manage rotas, train new starters, and ensure high standards of guest service and safety during night hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage critical night-time procedures; run the night audit to reconcile daily business and ensure security and compliance.
• Deliver warm welcomes for late arrivals, assist with late arrivals, check-outs, pour drinks, and prepare room service to maintain high standards at night.
• Keep morale high, assist with rotas, train new starters, run team briefings, and hand over smoothly to the early Duty Manager.

The Role Outline: Your Shift at a Glance

When the sun goes down, you are the crucial link keeping the entire hotel together. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will support the Night Manager by running the overnight audit, securing the building, and jumping in to serve drinks or check in weary guests, all while keeping your team motivated and focused until dawn.

Your Shift: What You’ll Actually Be Doing

As our Night Team Leader, you are the engine of the shift. We trust you to handle:

• The Operation: Taking ownership of the critical night time procedures. You will manage the night audit to reconcile the business of the day, conduct thorough security checks, ensure non-residents leave safely after events, and keep the building fully compliant.

• The Guest Experience: Acting as the ultimate all-rounder by delivering warm welcomes for late arrivals, efficiently checking out early departures, pouring drinks in the Pub, and preparing room service, ensuring high standards never drop just because it is dark outside.

• The Leadership: Keeping morale high when the team is tired. You will assist with rotas to manage wage costs, train new starters, run team briefings, and deliver a seamless handover to the early Duty Manager to set the day team up for success.
