Job summary

Village is seeking a Night Team Leader to be the engine of the night shift. You will run the overnight audit, conduct security checks, and ensure the building stays compliant while supporting guests and team members until dawn.

You will motivate a busy night team, assist with rotas to manage wage costs, and train new starters to ensure a seamless handover to the early Duty Manager for a strong day start.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in hospitality or similar, desirable.
• Friendly, positive, people‑focused attitude is valued.
• Willingness to train, mentor others, and support a busy night shift.

Responsibilities

• Oversee night-time operations: own critical procedures, lead the night audit, perform security checks, and ensure building compliance.
• Enhance guest experience: welcome late arrivals, manage departures, serve drinks in the pub, and coordinate room service while maintaining high standards.
• Provide leadership: maintain team morale, assist with rotas, train new starters, and hand over to the morning Duty Manager.

When the sun goes down, you are the crucial link keeping the entire hotel together. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will support the Night Manager by running the overnight audit, securing the building, and jumping in to serve drinks or check in weary guests, all while keeping your team motivated and focused until dawn.

Your Shift: What You’ll Actually Be Doing

As our Night Team Leader, you are the engine of the shift. We trust you to handle:

• The Operation: Taking ownership of the critical night time procedures. You will manage the night audit to reconcile the business of the day, conduct thorough security checks, ensure non-residents leave safely after events, and keep the building fully compliant.

• The Guest Experience: Acting as the ultimate all-rounder by delivering warm welcomes for late arrivals, efficiently checking out early departures, pouring drinks in the Pub, and preparing room service, ensuring high standards never drop just because it is dark outside.

• The Leadership: Keeping morale high when the team is tired. You will assist with rotas to manage wage costs, train new starters, run team briefings, and deliver a seamless handover to the early Duty Manager to set the day team up for success.
